Kate Libenson is a Brooklyn based Fine Artist, Illustrator, and Surface Print Designer, originally from South Shore Massachusetts. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2019 with a BFA in Illustration.
Her Fine Art practice is greatly influenced by her family of educators, her sentimental nature, and her beloved community of fellow artists. Past exhibitions include Bliss: A Queer Exhibition, C'mon Everybody Gallery, NYC (2023) The Haves and Have Nots, SVA Chelsea Gallery, NYC (2019) and Budding Artist, Trescott Street Gallery, Taunton MA (2015)
Her career in print design started in women's apparel working with Tom Cody. Since then she began freelancing with up and coming brands such as Ophelia & Indigo and Lewis is Home. She has taken on projects in both fashion and interior design. Her work in print is influenced by joy, laughter, and nature. The practice she's cultivated as a fine artist draws inspiration from identity, sacred objects, and community.
